We are hiring weekend on-call Registered Nurses to join our dynamic care team with Hospice Services of Massachusetts! All day Saturday and Sunday. Stipend pay and mileage reimbursement. This is an on-the-road position, and the candidate must have a reliable and insured vehicle and be willing to travel. Education & Experience: + Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. + Must hold an active and unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts and be CPR certified. + One (1) to two (2) years experience in acute care/home care/hospice preferred. Duties & Responsibilities: + Responds to on-call messages that may include making recommendations via phone and making visits. + Complete a comprehensive assessment of patient and family to determine hospice eligibility and care needs. + Provide nursing care. + Complete clinical notes regarding patient condition and care given. + Supervise hospice CNAs. + Teach patients and loved ones self-care techniques as appropriate. + Provide appropriate support at time of death. + Initiate plan of care and make revisions as patient status and needs change. + Assess and evaluate patient status. + Work with interdisciplinary team to meet the emotional needs of the patient and loved ones. Specific Requirements: + Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. + Candidate must possess strong observation, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, basic math, and nursing skills.
