We support individuals with intellectual disabilities, and direct support staff play a role in making sure those individuals live as independently as possible. We have residential homes in Dubuque and Dyersville, IA, and provide day services at our main building in Dubuque. As a part of the Area Residential Care team, 3rd shift direct care staff will work at one or more residential homes, perform deep cleaning, make routine bed checks, and assisting with morning routines and activities of daily living as needed. The 2nd shift direct care staff will work in one or more residential homes, participate in group outings and activities, and assist with activities of daily living as needed. First shift staff will interact with the clients throughout the day and provide assistance with activities of daily living as needed. **Minimum qualifications:** + A high school diploma/ HSED + Six months consistent work experience + A valid driver's license + Ability to lift and transfer 20lbs regularly and 50lbs occasionally + Commitment to work a minimum of 16 hours per pay period **WHY ARC?** Area Residential Care is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to fulfilling the lives of adults with intellectual disabilities and guiding them to achieve their highest quality of life!
