The Opportunity:

 

The Website Reliability Engineer (WRE) works in the office and plays a critical role in ensuring the uptime, scalability, and performance of Fisher Investments' digital platforms—including our client portal, multi-country corporate websites, and the OTT/LMS Platform. You will combine a software engineering mindset with deep operational expertise to support client-facing and corporate experiences that are important to our brand and client engagement strategy.

 

The Day-to-Day:

Maintain high availability and responsiveness of the public-facing websites (US, UK, DE, etc.), and digital channelsDefine and monitor SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs aligned to platform-specific performance expectationsConduct ongoing capacity planning and performance tuning to support business growth across geographiesWork with vendor partners to develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools to ensure scalable deployments across cloud environmentsAutomate environment provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring setup, and failover scenarios to reduce manual toilPartner with the Digital Engineering team to integrate WRE best practices into code deployments and feature rolloutsBe the Tier-2/3 escalation point for production issues across Fisher's client-facing and marketing platformsLead root cause analysis and postmortems following incidents; drive systemic improvements based on findingsImplement proactive alerting and observability frameworks to detect anomalies before they impact end-usersEnsure infrastructure is secure by design and compliant with data protection regulations and Fisher's IT security policiesSupport security audits and collaborate with internal InfoSec teams on vulnerability scanning, remediation, and ongoing compliance for all MarTech and web platforms.Work cross-functionally with Product, Corporate Communications, and Marketing Technology teams to align system reliability goals with outcomesDocument runbooks, system architectures, and WRE operational procedures to improve knowledge sharing and onboardingMentor junior engineers in WRE principles and reliability-focused engineering practicesWork onsite, under direct supervision, in a team-based and open office environment

Your Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience requiredMinimum of 5 years in a Site Reliability, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roleProven experience supporting highly available, secure, and scalable client portals, CMS-driven corporate sites, or digital channels for financial institutionsStrong expertise in Cloud platforms (Azure preferred), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.), Monitoring & alerting (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, Grafana), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and Scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud, Kaltura, SiteCore or similar systems used for customer-facing web platforms preferredFamiliarity with web application performance optimization, CDN usage (Cloudflare/Akamai), and traffic routing strategies preferredExposure to regulatory or compliance frameworks in financial services (e.g., GDPR, SOX, SEC guidelines) preferred
