Job Description

The Direct Marketing facility has an apprentice trainee position available for someone who has previous experience working in a warehouse/manufacturing environment. 

Shift: 7AM - 7PM  OR 7PM - 7AM   / $3.00 shift differential for second shift)

Job title:  Press Assistant 1

As a trainee assist Press Operator or Roll Tender with daily job functionsReceive training on specific job duties, responsibilities, and successfully demonstrate knowledge Ensure paper or raw materials (inks, glues, etc.) are loaded into feeders, hoppers, bins, etc. to supply a constant flow of materials while the equipment is runningSuccessfully complete computer based trainingMake adjustments to equipment such as feeder mechanism based on the size of the paperDeliver equipment components such as plates or spray heads to the equipment for installationRecycle old/discarded platesLearn and provide basic assistance as needed to make-ready the equipment for operationAssist with retrieving plates, hanging plates and recycling/storing plates and other tasks associated with make-ready of the platesShare your expertise and help train other employees as assignedOther responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications1 year previous experience working as a warehouse associate, machine operator, or other manufacturing supportRequires basic knowledge manufacturing / industrial work pace safetyAbility to follow instructions, assist in press set up, operation and maintenanceAble to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, stackers, and hydraulic feed mechanismsMust have strong communication (verbal and written) and comprehension skillsAbility to use a computer to complete training coursesHigh School Diploma or EquivalentKnowledge of shop math or basic mathematics (add, subtract, multiply, divide, reading a ruler)

Pay Disclosure Statement:  The pay range for this role at the noted location is $19.07 - $27.60 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
