Web & Digital Marketing Manager

As a key member of the Allegion Home Strategic Marketing Demand Generation team, the Web & Digital Marketing Manager will lead work on our consumer-facing websites and on key digital initiatives to drive customer experience, consideration, and conversion. This individual will partner with our Web Manager to execute end-to-end oversight and management of US Allegion’s residential public websites, namely Schlage.com and Schlage.ca; including the strategy, execution, and analytics. This position will also partner with our Digital Marketing Manager on key digital marketing and social media initiatives.

What You Will Do:

Front-end Website Development: [35% of time]

Support Development and Evolution of Schlage.com: Partner with existing Website Manager to support the increasing development needs of Schlage.com, including ideation and execution of interactive web experiences that result in significant and measurable improvements in the consumer experience on and referral rate of Schlage.com. Partner with larger I.T. service team, back-end developers, and partners to bring CX and enhancement opportunities to life.

Lead Development and Evolution of Schlage.ca: Review existing website Schlage.ca to identify the necessary updates and opportunities for enhancement; including French language options either through translation services or via the integration of Salsify and use of its content publication options. Lead the front-end development of these enhancements and updates, partnering with larger I.T. team, back-end developers, and partners for necessary work.

UI/UX: Make UI/UX recommendations for Schlage.ca and support recommendations for Schlage.com with both our Agency of record and their UI/UX team to translate visions into feasible plans, and high-quality code. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

Bring Web Roadmaps to Life: Drive tactical plans and lead project teams to deliver against web roadmap objectives, including concept, specification, design, launch, and maintenance phases. Make appropriate tradeoffs between functionality and resources and/or timeframes

Digital Launches and New Product Launches: Lead the launches of new products and digital initiatives on schlage.ca. Support any incremental launch needs on Schlage.com.

Website Analytics Insights Leadership: For both Schlage.com and Schlage.ca, interpret Adobe analytics to provide overall web and customer experience and journey insights. Develop insights on customer segments, customer journey, site usage, trends, etc. Use this data and the resulting insights to make optimization, content, and marketing recommendations to the demand generation and brand marketing teams. A key skill is the ability to extract the data but compare it to other data sources to identify the larger insight and tell a story that becomes a recommendation.

Content: Ensure site editorial and design elements are on brand and aligned with standards and messaging; ensure interactional and collaborative guidelines are met; ensure appropriate tone, affect and style are use.

Site Testing and Innovation: Partner with existing teams on both websites to conduct thorough testing of web applications to identify and resolve bugs. Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development.

Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with brand and content teams, web IT team, legal and IT securities, etc. to advocate for projects, lead cross-functional projects, understand project considerations, obtain brand-appropriate content, and track deliverables

Manage additional responsibilities and tasks as needed.

SEO Leadership: [35% of time]

Lead relationship with SEO partner, currently Conductor with access to SEM Rush.

Analyze data and reports to make meaningful SEO recommendations for our websites (H1, title, body tags, earning backlinks, content). Lead the on-site execution of SEO tactics.

Monitor and maintain keywords in SEO platform; and ensure on-site execution of the supporting content for these keyword strategies.

Serve as a SME on the on-site new site content needed to enhance our SEO strategies and performanace; Partner closely with Marketing Manager, Communications and Content to develop this content and manage its publication to the web.

Identify and prioritize technical SEO updates

Competitive SEO monitoring

Provide SEO reporting and insights

Stay up to date on the latest SEO trends and best practices

Social Media Marketing: [35% of time]

Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager to support the execution of the Schlage social media strategy, including maintaining Schlage’s active presence on existing channels by developing campaign content and posting it on platforms to execute campaigns

Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager to expand our presence within existing and onto new social media platforms

Lead social media community management and engagement, in partnership with internal teams, leveraging social listening tools

Monitor competitive activity and industry trends as they appear on social channels

Effectively report out on social media programs, driving towards measurable KPIs, with actionable insights that drive continuous improvement

Adopt the voice and tone of the Schlage brand across all channels, and partner to champion for the development of social content that reflects the brand pillars and is relevant to the audience

What You Need to Succeed:

Education / Experience

Bachelor’s Degree - Information Technology, Website design, Communications; Certification or related degree in Digital Media, Interactive Design, or related commensurate experience

Proven experience as a Front-End Developer or similar role; 3+ years’ experience in Web development

3+ years working within a digital marketing team

2+ years’ experience in SEO management preferred

Experience working on a consumer brand, whether in-house or in an agency environment

Experience with complex, dynamic websites and content management applications

Branding & Identity understanding

Strong negotiation skills and industry knowledge

Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager or comparable CMS preferred

Preference will be given to candidates residing in the Eastern or Central Time Zones (EST/CST) to best support our customers and collaborate effectively with the team.

Skills:

Proficient in HTML, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility and JavaScript

Strong knowledge of Adobe suite, including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Analytics

Familiarity with Marketo and Shopify preferred, or willingness to learn these programs

Strong understanding of responsive design principles

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Attention to detail, creativity, and organizational skills are critical

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent time management and project management skills

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

The expected Base Salary Range: $73,900-$152,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
