Weapons System Integration Engineer
Johnson Service Group is seeking a Weapons Integration Engineer for contract position located preferably in Roseville or Sacramento, but will look at someone for their Arlington TX location also.
Our client is a leading provider of advanced defense and security systems. They are seeking a highly skilled Weapons Integration Engineer to join their innovative team supporting mission-critical defense programs. This role is perfect for an engineer passionate about working on cutting-edge aerospace and defense technology.


Key Responsibilities:
Lead the integration and testing of advanced weapon systems on unmanned and manned platforms.

Develop and execute system integration plans, test procedures, and detailed technical reports.

Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.

Support ground and flight testing, including hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) environments.

Analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and recommend design or process improvements.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation in compliance with quality and safety standards.

Present technical findings and program updates to internal teams, customers, and government stakeholders.

Travel to test sites, customer locations, and field environments as required (approx. 0–25%).

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or related).

5+ years of relevant experience in weapons systems integration, testing, or aerospace/defense engineering.

Strong understanding of systems engineering, integration processes, and test methodologies.

Proficiency with test equipment, data analysis, and engineering documentation.

Familiarity with military standards, missile/weapon integration, avionics, or RF systems is a plus.

U.S. Citizenship required; must hold or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (Top Secret preferred)

Preferred Skills:
Experience with unmanned systems, hypersonic vehicles, or flight test programs.

Knowledge of configuration management and quality standards (ISO9001/AS9100).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
