* This position is an office centric role on-site 4 days a week*
This position performs assigned duties within Securities Operations unit for the bank Wealth Management business. This position will also be cross-trained in other processes to assist in absences and volume spikes. This position is a “Subject Matter Expert” for the specific tasks performed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Participate in various processing functions for Wealth accounts, including securities and investment related transactions.
2. Lead in the creation of procedures and work flows as required. Procedures will ensure delivery of the highest quality of operational excellence while meeting compliance rules and mitigating risk to Truist.
3. Manage workloads to ensure work is performed accurately and on time and assist team manager in controlling workloads for broader team by answering questions and assisting in processing as needed.
4. Work with others to develop solutions for clients or resolve operational inefficiencies when requested.
5. Participate in projects, conversions and system testing as requested, providing leadership when involving areas of subject matter expertise.
6. Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Securities Operations for processes assigned.
7. Stay current on trends, new asset types, business, etc. in order to properly maintain up-to-date processes especially in area of responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Associate degree or equivalent education and related training.
2. Five or more years of Wealth Management experience.
3. High level of knowledge of securities operations in specific area.
4. Intermediate knowledge in other areas of securities operations
5. Good verbal and written communication including the ability to write and approve procedures, speak on calls with LOB teammates and vendors
6. Experience in developing and discussing complex workflows
7. Strong analytical skills.
8. Good problem-solving ability.
9. Good knowledge of Excel, including worksheet formatting and formulas, and Access, including ability to run queries and develop simple queries.
10. Ability to work on projects including adding input and suggestions
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business-related field
2. Seven or more years of Securities Operations experience.
3. Industry certification
