Wealth Ops Group Manager

Description

As the Wealth Ops Group Manager, you are responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of the wealth management group. Additionally, you ensure efficient and effective delivery of operational processes, such as client onboarding, account maintenance, and transactions processing. The incumbent provides leadership to managers and professional associates, is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams, and develops departmental plans, including business, production and /or organizational priorities.

Primary responsibilities include:

Operations Management

Monitor and evaluate operational performance to identify areas for improvement.Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across processes.

Team Leadership & Development

Lead and develop high-performing teams with a focus on client service, relationship management, and operational excellence.Drive process improvement initiatives and promote automation to streamline workflows.

Risk & Compliance

Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies governing operational processes.Maintain a strong risk management culture across all functions.

Leadership & Oversight

Provide strategic leadership across trading oversight, supervision, and operational risk functions.Act as a peer and collaborator with leaders in Client Experience, Core Operations, and Private Wealth Support.Support all wealth management segments, ensuring alignment and consistency across teams.

Supervision & Risk Management

Oversee Regional Supervisory Officers (RSOs) and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.Lead quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) initiatives.Maintain and enhance documentation of policies and procedures to support audit readiness and operational transparency.

Operational Excellence

Champion continuous improvement in operational processes and client experience.Collaborate with technology and vendor partners to ensure high service quality and foster innovation.Support the development and implementation of scalable, compliant operational models.

Technology & Reporting

Ensure accurate and timely delivery of internal, client-facing, and regulatory reports.Lead the development of new reporting capabilities and reconciliation processes.

Strategic Collaboration

Partner with senior leadership to prepare for audits and regulatory examinations.Contribute to organizational design and team structure planning.

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in wealth management, broker-dealer operations, or financial servicesProven leadership experience managing cross-functional teamsDeep understanding of regulatory requirements and supervisory frameworksExperience with trading oversight, QA/QC, and risk managementActive FINRA Series 24 and Series 7

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related fieldAdvanced degree (MBA or equivalent)Knowledge of Citizens’ operational and supervisory structureProcess improvement certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma)An ideal candidate will possess the following competencies: strategic leadership, operational excellence, risk & compliance management, team leadership & development, technical & analytical proficiency, client-centric mindset, change management, communication & collaboration
