Job Summary
As an Investment Strategist, Associate on the team, you will work with Strategists, Economists, and Asset Class Specialists to perform analysis, conduct research, and write reports that develop and communicate J.P. Morgan Private Bank’s key investment views. The Associate will assist senior Strategists with research and analysis to develop core macroeconomic views, investment ideas, and asset allocation strategies. This role will primarily support across asset classes on idea generation, data analysis and content publication with an eventual plan to develop specialized expertise.
Job Responsibilities
Formulate and communicate market and economic views to clients, the media, and internal constituents on behalf of the global J.P. Morgan Private Bank with the ultimate goal of helping clients make better, more informed investment decisions. This role is based in Singapore with a focus on the SEA market, and specifically Indonesia. Position J.P. Morgan Private Bank as the leading provider of capital markets & economic insight. Assist J.P. Morgan’s advisors to prospect and build stronger relationships with existing clients, and uncover opportunities with clients through an active, ongoing dialogue with them about the economy, geopolitics, and capital markets. Conduct research and analysis on economic and financial market developments and generate investment recommendations. Present economic and market analysis, and investment recommendations, to both internal stakeholders and external clients.Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial industry, with relevant sales and/or investment advisory experience from Private Wealth Management firms or other relevant Financial Institutions, with proven track record in managing UHNW clients. Strong knowledge of the Wealth Management business, well versed across all asset classes, and deep understanding on Compliance, Risk and Regulatory frameworks. Experience in managing relationships with both clients and internal partners across multiple countries and regions to drive our sales agenda. Dynamic team player who is self-motivated and possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to proactively engage multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority to drive our sales agenda and operate with strong sense of urgency. Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is required as there will be frequent interactions with clients and stakeholders from Indonesia. Candidates must have a willingness to travel.Preferred Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities
Appropriate local regulatory qualification and licenses preferred. If you do not possess an existing Representatives Notification Framework (RNF) Register in Singapore, you will be required to sit for Client Advisor Competency Standards (CACS) Paper 1 & 2. This is in order to gest registered as a Representative with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for the private banking industry. Strong proficiency in coding and programming such as macro, VBA, Python skills is preferred. Experience with data providers Bloomberg, Haver, FactSet, and Wind is preferred.
