As a Private Banker Associate in the J.P. Morgan Private Bank, you are responsible for providing support to Senior Bankers in all facets of managing their books of business. You will play a key role assisting Senior Bankers in new client acquisition and retention through a broad knowledge of investments, banking, trust services and financial planning. Your primary goal is to enhance the client experience and assist our resources with delivering a complete wealth management solution to clients. The role is based in Singapore and clients are based in the Southeast Asia market, with a focus in Thailand.
Job Responsibilities
Provide holistic support to Senior Bankers on daily client priorities including maintaining client relationships, answering client enquiries and day-to-day account operations. Support Senior Bankers during the sales process and ongoing client management, which includes reviewing and building pitch books, coordinating information, communicating with clients and executing on client needs.Support Senior Bankers on client hierarchy and prospective client pipeline management.Assist Senior Bankers in the sale of investments, banking and trust services including, but not limited to: asset allocation on structured portfolios, managed portfolios, brokerage accounts, portfolio reviews, deposit and loan solutions, basic trust and estate products, and identification of wealth planning opportunities.Work in close partnership with Investment Specialists in proposing, delivering, and executing investment solutions for clients; as well as in identifying new business opportunities alongside the Senior Bankers. Update clients regularly on markets, portfolio performance, investments opportunities and risks.Assist Senior Bankers in preparing presentations and proposals, and send out various promotion items to clients on request.Keep track of Client Activity, AUMs and Revenues to assist Senior Bankers with optimizing how they utilize their time and firm resources.Work together with other teams in meeting all compliance, operational, and due diligence requirements.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.Minimum 2 years of experience in the Private Banking space with proven track record in managing UHNW clients. Proficiency in Thai language skills is required as there will be frequent interactions with clients and stakeholders from Thailand.Strong presentation skills, an excellent communicator with client facing experience and existing UHNW client relationships in the Southeast Asia market.Good understanding of the needs and sensitivities of clients (private individuals and families).Proven track record on investment sales and / or relationship management performance.Able to work under minimal supervision; adaptable, and highly capable of working in a demanding environment.Experience in managing relationships both with clients and internal partners across multiple countries and regions to drive our sales agenda.Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Knowledge of Wealth Management business in Thailand is preferred.Professional qualifications such as CFA charter holder and/or CAIA designation is preferred.Appropriate local regulatory qualification and licenses preferred. However, if you do not possess an existing Representatives Notification Framework (RNF) Register in Singapore, you will be required to sit for Client Advisor Competency Standards (CACS) Paper 1 & 2, in order to get registered as a Representative with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for the private banking industry.Adapts to changing business, regulatory, and technological environments with strong business acumen.
