WE CS Sales Operations Leader

You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world. **A Day in the Life** As Sales Operations Leader for Cardiac Surgery (CS) in Western Europe (WE), you play a strategic leadership role in building and executing the CS business vision, driving operational excellence and commercial execution across the region (~$150M annual revenue). You will lead a high-performing team and ensure product availability to key customers in priority areas, while optimizing inventory levels, driving collaboration across functions, and representing CS Western Europe in global planning processes. You will report functionally to the Western European Cardiac Surgery Business Sr Director & operationally to the Global Cardiac Surgery IBP Director and manage a team of 2 direct reports (solid line) and 5 dotted-line country-level Sales Operations Specialists. In this role, you are also a key voice in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, ensuring WE commercial demand aligns with financial goals and global operations. **Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:** + Strategic Leadership & Planning: Contribute to building and executing the strategic vision for the Cardiac Surgery (CS) business in Western Europe (WE); act as the strategic representative for commercial demand in IBP, Long-Range Planning, and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) forums + Team Management & Coaching: Lead, manage, and coach a team of direct and indirect Sales Operations Specialists across WE and local countries, fostering collaboration and performance + Demand Forecasting & Allocation: Plan and communicate quarterly demand to meet financial targets; engage with Global Operations and Marketing to drive product allocation and availability, ensuring fairness between WE and CEMA+Russia, and continuously improving forecasting and allocation processes + Inventory & Product Availability: Lead initiatives to reduce field and Distribution Center inventory with measurable KPIs; ensure Customer Service product availability to key customers in priority areas by closely collaborating with sales and marketing leaders + Operational & Custom Pack Oversight: Oversee custom pack processes including drawings, setup, extensions, and regulatory compliance; streamline portfolio rationalization and ensure efficient management + Quality & Complaint Management: Facilitate and monitor quality processes including complaints, CAPAs, customer letters, and field escalations; improve complaint return procedures to ensure timely resolution + Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to remain agile to customer needs; lead field governance boards and promote continuous improvement in processes, analytics, and team dynamics, while staying informed on competitive products and supporting product phase-out transitions **Required Knowledge and Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Analytics, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing or MedTech, including exposure to supply chain, commercial planning, operations, or finance + Strong track record managing cross-functional and cross-country teams (3–5+ people) with a solid understanding of IBP, demand planning, and inventory management + Experience in field inventory, complaint handling, quality processes, and product lifecycle management + Strong influencing skills and cross-functional stakeholder engagement and ability to operate autonomously within a matrixed and multicultural organization + Advanced proficiency in Excel and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) Experience in the healthcare or MedTech industry, particularly in surgical or cardiac-related products, familiarity with product allocation, demand vs. financial forecasting, supply resolution processes, experience working in custom pack or portfolio rationalization processes and a continuous improvement mindset and process optimization capabilities are considered advantages for this position. **Physical Job Requirements** The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.  **Benefits & Compensation** **Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package** A commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
