Position Overview: 

As a Wave Planner, you will be focused on daily order volume coordinating the efficient release of orders to satisfy customer demand and provide for effective order throughput. Collaborate with supply chain, transportation, and export functions to ensure that orders are waved with a methodology that results in on-time shipping of customer and distribution orders. Apply Manhattan Warehouse Management waving and advanced materials management concepts to ensure continual flow of the pick, pack, and ship processes inside the distribution center. 

Please note: This is for mid/2nd shift (11 am - 8 pm ET), Monday- Friday onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and assess Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) process to determine efficiency of workflowTranslate projected order forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into daily outbound production plan with a time-phased output driven by targeted fulfillment datesInterface with material planning team, export sales team, US sales team, and interplants to best schedule the workflow.Monitor, analyze and report availability fill rates for the distribution center operation.Identify inefficiencies in workflow between replenishment, picking, put away, packing, and shipping; further making configuration changes to waving software to improve operational material flow.Monitor order queue and ensure balance between replenishment, picking, put away packing, and shipping.Assist distribution leads with assigning shipment priorities and monitoring each wave.Responsible for task rules, outbound rules and wave template design in the warehouse management system to optimize operations.Ensure daily waving is executed timely with work being available for all shifts.Provide evening and weekend rotational on call distribution support remotely for shipment waving and WMS applications.

Required Qualifications:  

Associate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering Technology.2+ years of previous materials management and/or supply chain experienceStrong Cross Functional/Team Leadership and Communication Skills.Planning with ERP software as well as PC skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and WordGood Organization skills with strong attention to detailTechnical and logical capability to solve problemsMust be able to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills.Ability to work independently with minimal oversight required.Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Some weekend work required per operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in Business, Operations or Supply Chain preferred.Previous experience working in a distribution warehouse or manufacturing environment.Knowledge in Lean Six Sigma methodology, Green Belt certificationExperience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); Manhattan

Working Conditions:

Be able to work in a fast-paced environment as business needs dictate.The position will require sitting, standing, and walking in both an office and warehouse environment.The position will require on-site support Monday - Friday between the hours of 11am - 8pm, which occasionally could encompass time outside normal shift work hours, weekend work and holidays as operational needs dictate.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $53,100 to $83,800 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
