INTRODUCTION and WHAT YOU WILL DO (Job Responsibilities)

\n

This position is primarily responsible for receiving, stocking, distributing, and removing material, tools, equipment and products for the production area. This role ensures smooth material flow and supports production by minimizing downtime through timely delivery and management of inventory and supplies.

\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

\n\nTransport large and small materials to and from staging areas and production work centers through use of Forklift, Pallet Jacks, Hand Carts, and overhead cranes.\nSubmit a Warehouse Requisition Slip when materials are required from stock.\nDelivers products and materials to appropriate work centers promptly.\nRecord and verify accurate quantity of materials or items received, distributed, or returned.\nRestocking Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and Point of Use (POU) locations to maintain optimal supply levels.\nReturn unused materials from jobs to stock and complete appropriate data entries.\nConsolidating requests related to back-orders or missing items from job carts.\nIdentifying and tracking frequency of material outages/shortages.\nAnalyze issues and opportunities through use of pareto data and recommend improvements for point of use storage items.\nManage Kanban levels and alerts and recommend adjustments based on replenishment data.\nConduct audits of VMI levels and identify discrepancies or issues.\nData collection and assist in problem solving to improve material flow and inventory accuracy.\nBack-order processing and complete replenishment activities.\nUse computer systems to accurately enter and maintain inventory and requisition records.\nHelp maintain clean and orderly production areas.\nRemoval and disposal of waste products from production areas.\nAdditional duties as assigned.\n\n

Accountability:

\n\nWorks safely; takes accountability for self and others.\nInventory turns/obsolete inventory in work centers.\nUnderstands and adheres to organizational and department policy and procedures.\nResolves conflicts respectfully and in a timely manner, asks for assistance from appropriate supervisor/HR as needed.\nParticipates actively in department team and all-staff meetings.\nAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.\nAlways communicate respectfully.\n

Education and/or Experience:

\n\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED).\n\n

Language Skills:

\n\nAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one­ on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.\n\n

Mathematical Skills:

\n\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\n\n

Reasoning Ability:

\n\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\n\n

Computer Skills:

\n\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory Control software and Order processing systems. Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook is required.\n\n

Other Qualifications:

\n\nAttendance and punctuality are an essential function of this position.\nMust be eligible to work in the United States of America.\nForklift certification (will provide) Parts Knowledge.\nSelf-motivated.\n\n
