Te Kōwhiringa | The Opportunity 

Downer holds a long-term Operations and Maintenance contract with Kaipara District Council. We are seeking a Water Serviceperson to join our high-performing team based in Dargaville.

Available for either experienced water service people or candidates who are keen to work outside and enjoy using their practical skills, ideally with relevant civil, construction, farming, roading, agriculture or trade qualifications and/or experience. Your duties could include:

Routine and planned preventative maintenance, installation, and repairs on water assets such as water pipes & mains Installation and/or repairs of water meters Once trained, respond to urgent call-outs throughout the Nelson region. A hands-on role in completing work safely and meeting our client and the needs of contract

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

You will have a great attitude, be reliable and hardworking and will bring with you:

Minimum 1 year’s experience in either civil construction, drainage, labouring, plumbing, agriculture work, preferably involved in water, wastewater and stormwater, but not necessary Proven experience or an interest in Water Reticulation Current confined space entry training would be an advantage A full class one Driver’s license and the ability to drive a manual
