Principal Accountabilities
Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and systemsMonitor and adjust treatment processes to ensure optimal performanceConduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipmentCollect and analyze water samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standardsAccurate and timely documentation on testing, calibrations, and chemical adjustmentsMaintain open lines of communication with the POTW on issues, modifications, and documentation as requiredTroubleshoot and repair mechanical issues as they ariseCollaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient plant operationsPerforming other duties assignedOperating mobile power equipmentKeeping track of chemical inventoriesAbility to work alone with minimal supervisionMust display attention to detail, be highly motivated and possess initiative to be proactiveCleanliness and housekeepingMust currently have strong oral and written communication skills dealing with suppliers and contractors
Required Qualifications
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorshipMust be 18 years or olderAbility to read, write, and speak English fluentlyMust have basic math skillsAbility to read & interpret mechanical drawingsPrevious electrical troubleshooting1+ year(s) of experience using hand tools and maintenance troubleshooting equipment1+ year(s) of experience working in an industrial maintenance fieldWastewater training and/or certificate will need to be achievedAvailability to work holidays and/or overtime as needed; must be flexible as work schedule may vary according to plant needs

Previous air compressor/pneumatic system experience or educationPrevious fluid pump experience or educationPrevious Municipal or Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant operator experiencePrevious experience using lab testing equipmentIndustrial Building Maintenance1+ years of experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentBasic computer skillsSAP Experience1+ year(s) of experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues on industrial wastewater equipment
