POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a full-time role focused on both operating and maintaining equipment in the wastewater treatment system. You’ll help keep essential systems running, support environmental compliance, and occasionally fill in as a treatment operator when team members are on vacation or leave of absence. We’re willing to train the right candidate! If you take pride in your work, are mechanically inclined, and work well with others, we encourage you to apply—even if you’ve never worked in wastewater before.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on treatment equipment (pumps, valves, motors, etc.)Operate wastewater systems, conduct sample collection, and adjust processes based on lab resultsUse basic tools and equipment to make repairs and adjustmentsMaintain clean, organized treatment areas including groundskeeping and housekeepingSafely operate equipment such as forklifts, spotter trucks, and flat-bottom boats for lagoon accessFill in for licensed operators as needed—including on nights, weekends, or holidaysQUALIFICATIONS:
Mechanical aptitude (experience with tools, machinery, or maintenance)Strong communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to work in outdoor, hot/cold, and sometimes unsanitary environmentsAbility to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periodsBasic computer skills (Excel, Email)Valid driver’s license and reliable transportationMust be willing to complete required training and pursue certification up to Level A as neededAbility to safely work from a flat-bottom boat during lagoon maintenanceInternal candidates with more than 5 attendance points will not be considered for this position.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
