Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Wastewater/Water Resources/Solid Waste Engineering

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager specializing in Solid Waste Engineering to join our dynamic Mid-Atlantic/Southeast ECC division. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage multiple projects and clients, focusing on a variety of waste resources engineering projects, with a particular emphasis on landfill design, landfill gas systems, and landfill leachate systems.

Responsibilities

Oversee engineering design, team support, and project management on waste resources engineering projects.Focus on landfill design, landfill gas systems, and landfill leachate systems.Engage in construction planning and oversight, landfill closure, operations, and post-closure care.Design transfer stations, MRFs, and recycling centers.Perform site planning, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and grading plans.Conduct landfill permitting, stormwater design, and wetland permitting.Manage and design leachate systems, landfill gas collection and control systems.Handle facility siting, design, and construction management for landfills and related facilities.Conduct landfill capacity analysis and financial assurance.Perform odor assessment and mitigation, and ambient air monitoring.Design renewable energy systems for landfills, including solar, wind, and landfill gas to energy systems.Explore waste to energy technologies like anaerobic digestion and biogas.

Essential Skills

10-15+ years of landfill design and project management experience.Professional Engineering License (PE or PG) preferred in Virginia, North Carolina, or South Carolina.Technical management experience and client-facing experience in Solid Waste Engineering.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.Strong technical/computer skills.Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Valid driver's license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in mentoring and training junior staff.Ability to manage multiple clients and develop future work.

Work Environment

This position may be based out of our offices in Virginia, South Carolina, or North Carolina, with consideration for candidates in Georgia or West Virginia. The work environment offers a flexible schedule with 2-3 days of work from home and 2-3 days in the office near Tryon Rd. It provides a supportive atmosphere for an emerging engineer to build their practice within a respected company in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast region.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Cary, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $170000.00/yr.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee
