Job Introduction

Accountabilities

Undertake all required training in relation to all aspects of the Waste Service delivered to the client, as requestedComplete a schedule of waste tasks, as directed by the Waste supervisor / Waste Manager such as the movement of waste from approved waste storage areas to collection areas, correct segregation of waste streams, and operate machinery for the purposes of compacting waste, driving of specified vehicles if appropriate licence and training is given.Wear the company uniform at all times whilst at workWear any items of personal protective equipment, as specified by the Waste supervisor / managerComply to all client policies / procedures in relation to Waste services   Ensure that all requirements in relation to COSHH are adhered to, as specified by the Waste supervisor / managerEnsure that the waste segregation and site colour coding policy is adhered to at all timesTo report all faults in relation to Waste machinery/equipment to the Waste supervisor.   To report all building defects to the Waste supervisor   To carry out any reasonable request, as specified by the Waste supervisor / manager

 No justifiable complaints from building users / client staff within your areas of work

Pass mark achieved in cleaning quality control audits within your areas of workNo issues and concerns highlighted in relation to health and safety in your areas of work.

The Waste team is central to ensuring the Racecourse buildings and facilities are kept clear of waste and fit for purpose and meet the standards, which our guests expect and the Ascot staff require to deliver the operational functions.

 The dynamic racecourse environment means that the Waste team need to meet changing requirements, which requires the job holder to demonstrate high levels of flexibility and co-operative working to ensure that they and team members work effectively and supportively.
