Work at Michigan Medicine and become a victor for the greater good. **What Benefits can you Look Forward to?** + Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage effective on your very first day + 2:1 Match on retirement savings **Responsibilities*** Prepare waste materials for incineration or other disposal using protective equipment and processes. **Required Qualifications*** + High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Must be able to read, write, and understand English. + Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions. + Must be able to perform a wide range of physical activities including pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, etc. + Must not have any type of lifting restrictions. + Must be able to work around sick and disabled patients (children and adults) within a hospital setting. + Must be a team player, able to prioritize work and be able to handle stress on a daily basis. + Must be able to perform all tasks listed on the Waste Handler Classification Description. **Work Schedule** This position shift is 32hr / Evenings / Friday-Monday / 4:00pm-12:30am **Modes of Work** Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
