**Job Description**
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the environment? We are seeking a dedicated Waste & Environmental Specialist to join LEGO® Manufacturing Vietnam, where you will have the opportunity to develop and implement innovative waste management strategies!
**Core Responsibilities:**
Waste Management:
+ Set up and maintain waste management processes across the entire factory, including waste flow mapping and infrastructure planning.
+ Oversee waste segregation activities and drive proper sorting behavior through regular training, monitoring, and on-site inspections.
+ Ensure timely and compliant waste collection, storage, and handling within designated areas, aligned with local regulations and corporate standards.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date waste inventories, manifests, and contractor documentation.
+ Coordinate with licensed waste disposal vendors to ensure legal, safe, and timely waste pickups.
+ Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DoNRE), and provide required data to global environmental functions.
+ Drive initiatives to achieve annual waste-related KPIs assigned by the global team
+ Monitor performance trends and lead corrective actions where targets are at risk
+ Liaise regularly with global teams and peer sites to share best practices and learnings for waste management improvement.
+ Support site-level sustainability programs and propose innovations aligned the group ambition
Environmental Compliance:
+ Ensure compliance with environmental protection principles across the entire factory in accordance with local regulations and corporate policies.
+ Support audits and inspections conducted by environmental authorities and third-party auditors.
+ Participate in ISO, Code of Conduct (CoC), and other relevant audits by providing documentation and operational support.
+ Assess and monitor environmental risks that may impact business continuity or cause regulatory violations.
+ Promptly escalate any identified breaches of environmental laws, regulations, or internal standards to senior management.
+ Plan and coordinate environmental sampling activities in line with legal requirements and approved schedules.
+ Develop budget proposals for the assigned environmental function, ensuring alignment with operational needs and compliance obligations.
+ Promote cross-functional collaboration to enhance environmental performance, compliance, and resource efficiency.
+ Prepare and submit required environmental reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory authorities and corporate stakeholders.
+ Conduct routine internal audits and inspections to verify adherence to environmental standards and identify improvement areas.
+ Support employee training and awareness programs focused on environmental compliance and sustainability practices.
Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Management:
+ Overall management the operations/maintenance/monitoring the WWTP system to ensure compliance with discharge permits and environmental standards.
+ Conduct regular sampling and analysis of influent and effluent water to monitor performance.

Facility Management LMV are responsible for ensuring that the LMV factory properly maintained and operating efficiently in order to maximize manufacturing productivity and provide our LMV employees with an awesome and safe experience in the workplace every day. Waste/Environment Specialist plays a very critical role to the facility team to ensure all waste/ wastewater and other environmental matters are handled well and highest level of compliance with the LEGO group standards and local regulations supporting the Zero Impact Operations & Carbon Neutral Operations ambition of the LEGO group.
**Do you have what it takes?**
+ Bachelor in Environment Management / EHS or having rich, in-depth experience in Waste and Environment Management
+ Go do mentality and curiosity to learn
+ Responsive and willing to take ownership of issues and drive solutions
+ Lean and continuous improvement
+ 5+ years of experience in a multinational working environment
+ Working experience with external and internal partners
+ Familiar with ISO 14001 or 50001 or relevant standards
+ Presentation and facilitation skills for training and engagement activities
+ Experience setting up a new waste and environment program
+ Familiar with the Zero Waste to Landfill program and LEED-related matters
+ Proficient in both Vietnamese and English
