We are seeking a talented individual to join our Nordic Transactional Risk team here at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Oslo, Norway. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days per week in the office. 

The Nordic Transactional Risk team is market-leading, currently with +15 TRI specialists across Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Oslo. We structure and place transactional risk insurance solutions — primarily Warranty & Indemnity (W&I) insurance — in connection with Nordic and international M&A transactions, working closely with global insurers in the Nordics, London, Europe, and beyond. Our clients include private equity funds, institutional investors, and leading corporates.

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your M&A legal background in a dynamic and client-facing environment, engaging directly with decision-makers on high-profile transactions.

You’ll be offered a front-row seat in the Nordic M&A market, advising leading investors and corporates. You’ll be provided with training, mentorship and international career opportunities within Marsh McLennan. This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a market-leading practice, both locally in Norway and the Nordics (and beyond). You’ll be working out of our state-of-the-art offices in central Oslo.

We will count on you to: 

Advise on, structure, and place W&I and other transactional risk insurance solutions.Support clients throughout the deal lifecycle, from structuring to negotiations and final placement.Collaborate with leading law firms, investors, corporates, and global insurers.Work closely with our Head of Transactional Risk Norway and the wider Nordic TR team on both Norwegian and pan-Nordic transactions.Take on a highly commercial role while continuing to develop your legal and negotiation skills.
 

What you need to have:  

2–4 years of M&A experience from a reputable law firm (or equivalent in-house role).Strong understanding of M&A transaction dynamics and contract negotiations.Excellent communication skills, fluent in Norwegian and English (spoken and written).Ambitious, commercially minded, and a strong team player.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment without compromising on quality.
