Warping Machine Operator

2nd shift 

SUMMARY
Assists in keeping machines in constant operation. Repairing flanges, Lifting / dropping of beams and proper adjustments on machines. Check front / back of assigned machine(s) to ensure there’s no productivity / quality issues at completion of repairs. Startup of the machine Records all defects on ticket and production report. Correctly documents any other required information on paperwork.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Operate warping machine(s). • Must be able to lift packages. • Must qualify on all warpers. • Assist in creeling and warping changes. • Doff warper (change beams). • Keep disc tensions in good condition and guides aligned. • Report all warp yarn running bad or any quality problems to supervisor or department manager. • Make proper adjustments on machines to keep beam measurements correct as per SOP. • Assist in cleaning warping area.
• Associate must perform other duties as assigned by management • Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job. • Meet deadlines and production quotas.
• Performs additional duties as requested, needed, or assigned.
ABILITY TO
• Read, write, and speak and understand in English and Spanish, to interpret documents such as specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, reports, business correspondence, regulatory and procedure manuals.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers, Supervisors and Managements.
• Work independently with little or no supervision and be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram record data or schedule form.
• Physically able to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment – manual dexterity, visual acuity, and speed.
• Effectively organize, set priorities, schedule assigned work; oversee multiple and rapidly changing priorities.
• Displays ability to work in highly productive, constantly changing environment.
• Effectively execute tasks.
• Exceptional work performance and attendance record.
• Solid leadership skills; able to lead by example; decision-maker and effective communicating.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint

• High level of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion and attention to detail
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Required physical demands are as follows:
• Frequent hand, finger, and wrist movement to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Requires standing (80%) and walking (20%).
• The employee frequently is required to talk, listen/use hearing, stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch, and/or use repetitive hand motions.
• The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
• Occasionally lift 50 pounds.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
Required during production duties:
• Eye protection
• Hearing Protection
• Steel toe/ Non-Slip shoes
• Reflective Vest (where applicable)
• Hardhat

Pay Details: $17.25 per hour
