Warehouse Technician - Stourton Dairy

 

Arla Food Stourton are looking for a proactive and proficient Warehouse Technician to join a high-performance team both delivering and supporting other functions to meet challenging team and personal goals. The successful candidate will work a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern which will include both day and night shifts.

 

About the job

Responsible for supervising a team of warehouse staff and yard operatives to support the operations manager Working a combination of both in the Warehouse and Yard you will be responsible for waste management within all areas The successful candidate will ensure full completion of daily targets whilst maintaining strict food hygiene and Health & Safety standards within the department. Operating FLT counterbalance to ensure efficient pallet supply across the Dairy and to our customers. You will monitor equipment performance and correct/raise issues before they become problems and perform basic maintenance tasks and fault diagnosis (OAC) Report safety issues. Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and surroundings Perform quality inspections on inbound materials & ingredients before sending to internal customers Perform specified cleaning tasks as per our daily/monthly schedules. Support the running of our production lines safely and efficiently to ensure top quality products are distributed on time.


What you’ll need to be successful in the role

Previous experience of working in a warehousing or cold store environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided Previous experience of SAP would be advantageous but full training will be given A motivated team player, who can work on their own initiative and knows about supply chain processes and sticking to health and safety rules You must be a strong communicator, who is able to prioritise tasks in a timely and organised manner and contribute to regular department meetings. You’ll be a strong performer with a good attendance record and a willingness to learn further skills
