THE ROLE:

FloSports is seeking a Technician to join our Operations team on-site at our warehouse space in Austin,TX. This is a pivotal role that is primarily responsible for maintaining and coordinating A/V equipment for our produced sporting events. You will be working closely with internal stakeholders such as Production and Engineering and Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform comprehensive inbound and outbound inspections of A/V equipment to ensure readiness for live broadcasts and events.

Conduct routine maintenance and functionality tests on audio, video, networking equipment, laptops, and other production gear.

Diagnose and repair malfunctioning or damaged equipment to maintain performance standards.

Assemble and configure equipment kits based on production specs, including proper labeling, packing, and setup.

Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized workbench and repair area in compliance with warehouse and safety standards.

Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to support accurate asset tracking and efficient gear turnaround.

Record all maintenance activities, repairs, and configuration changes in asset management systems.

Track and manage detailed equipment data such as serial numbers, software licenses, firmware, and drivers.

Contribute to the development and improvement of preventive maintenance schedules and quality assurance protocols. Assist in R&D projects, track equipment end of life span.

Provide technical support, documentation, and training to field teams to ensure successful on-site deployment.

Stay current on the latest equipment updates, manufacturer guidelines, and industry best practices.

Adhere to all company inventory management procedures and operational workflows.

Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of gear and tools throughout the warehouse.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

2–5+ years of experience working in A/V or live production environments.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) or Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs) Atlassian (Jira) & other WMS systems.

Working knowledge of standard A/V shop practices, including cable building/crimping, signal flow, and equipment troubleshooting.

Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.

Hands-on experience with live production equipment, including brands such as Blackmagic Design, Panasonic, DJI, SWIT, ROSS, and similar.

Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 70 lbs.

Flexible schedule with availability to support events during non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
