You independently operate and maintain at least one process, equipment or systems following autonomous maintenance (AM) standards and use your technical skills to improve line and/or system performance to meet business needs.

How you will contribute

You are a key ingredient in changing how the world snacks. With coaching, you will operate and maintain equipment to deliver on our safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets. You will use execute all standard work processes on your equipment using AM (autonomous maintenance) and PM (progressive maintenance) standards and ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will understand the losses in their area and equipment and report them.

More about this role

Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

Promote good housekeeping and manufacturing practices. 

Perform tasks such as Loading, Operating the Palletizer and/or delivering materials and ingredients to the production floor. 

Support the team with special projects if applicable. 

Complete all required training, tasks, assignments, etc. 

 

Health and Safety: 

Understand and apply Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Policies to prevent injury, illness, and property damage. 

Recognize relevant HSE risks and corresponding control measures. 

Communicate and act on imminent danger situations, hazards, non-conformities, and incident reporting. 

Adhere to relevant HSE programs. 

Participate in HSE programs and controls, such as behaviour-based safety programs, defect management, and incident management. 

Wear and distribute Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. 

 

Food Safety: 

Follow plant food safety (HACCP) and GMP compliance. 

Utilize proper tools (including chemical and lubrication) meeting company food safety standards. 

Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area. 

Comply with company policies, procedures, and local legislation. 

Immediately report all quality, food safety and Pest issues to the Team Leader or Manager. 

 

Education/Certifications: 

High school certificate is required. 

Active Forklift License required. 

 

Job Specific Requirements: 

Minimum 5 years experience with operating a PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicle)- Forklift 

Previous experience with GMP, Safety, and Food Safety 

Ability to work on all shifts, including weekends. 

Sense of urgency and strong judgement. 

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 

Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and minimal supervision. 

Demonstrated reliability, good attendance record, and attention to safety and GMP’s. 

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 

Proven adaptability and quick learner. 

Self-starter with a strong desire to learn. 

Ability to work under pressure and multi-task. 

SAP knowledge is an asset. 

WORK SCHEDULE : Weekend shifts plus 3 shifts on Weekdays.
