Warehouse Supervisor
Step into a key leadership role where you’ll drive daily warehouse operations—overseeing shipping, receiving, inventory, labor planning, and space management. Lead a team focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement, while fostering a positive and accountable work environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as company policies and legal requirements. As a leader, you’ll model and enforce the Saint-Gobain CBI Principles of Conduct and Action, promoting integrity, respect, and responsibility in all aspects of warehouse operations. - + Directly supervises the hourly warehouse employees' activities pertaining to material management, equipment problems, truck loading, truck traffic, housekeeping, cycle counting, and inventory management. Will lead shift safety meetings to ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and health policies, procedures, and practices. + Communicates & documents employee expectations and assesses employee performance. Provides coaching and development opportunities and administers disciplinary action up to and including termination if needed. Will be required to assist in the evaluation and selection process of hiring hourly employees. + Oversees the training of warehouse employees to ensure they receive adequate training before operating forklifts and any other motorized equipment, ensuring they follow the standard operating procedures and work instructions. + Understands and performs cycle count activities and how it can affect inventory and all warehouse functions, and all inventory locations are maintained with the correct inventory to ensure shipping documents are accurate – first in, first out should be the priority. + Ensuring solid communication between truck drivers and warehouse employees at all times. + Assists in performing root-cause analysis as well as implementing sustainable countermeasures on losses related to warehouse activities. + Maintains workplace organization to ensure good housekeeping (5S) by holding employees responsible for their assigned work areas. Ensures warehouse lighting infrastructure is operational and functioning for efficiency and safety. + Reviews and approves employee time in the UKG timekeeping system and ensures employees are paid the correct hours and wages in accordance with the respective site's pay policies and procedures or collective bargaining agreements. + May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. + 2-year degree preferred (equivalent experience may be considered) + 3 to 5 years of Supervisory experience within the warehouse and manufacturing environment- + General understanding of ISO methodology (ISO 9001, 14001, & OHSAS 18001) is required- + Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM,- 5S & Six Sigma a plus + Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required- + Proficient in the use of MS Office (familiarity with UKG and SAP systems)- - - - - + The ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution is required.- - - - - - - - - - At Saint-Gobain, our employees have pride in belonging to an organization whose culture is made up of these core values: Trust, Empowerment, & Collaboration.
