Job DescriptionSupervising and coaching your Warehouse teamsWeekly team / huddle with Warehouse teamMonthly 1-on-1’s with Warehouse teamAssist and/or set with the annual mid & end year reviews with the Warehouse teamAssist and/or set annual improvement objectives for Warehouse teamEnsure a safe and secure work environmentResponsible for execution of Expeditors warehouse procedures, safety and compliance standardsMaintain a clean and professional facility (as per local standards)Responsible that all equipment is maintained in a safe operational condition including the required maintenance contractProvide weekly/monthly/annually input to warehouse budget, includes staffing and overtime expenses, equipment procurement and maintenance, and facility repairEnsure your teams are staffed to meet demand including a flexible work forceOversee all aspects of warehouse staffing, includes permanent and contingent staffEnsure coverage of operations with staff who have the appropriate certificationsAssist with Interview, onboard, develop, and support staff within area of responsibility, includes permanent and contingent staff, according the trainings scheduleSupport employee versatility (cross training)Responsible for execution of the processes in the area of responsibility, following operational standards (OPS) and KPI expectationsImprove safety, quality, delivery and cost reduction through continuous improvement methodsParticipate in transitioning and onboarding new customersManage, prevent, and resolve inventory, over/short/damage, process and customer exceptionsAssist with perform process audits to ensure security and safety of people, facility, and freightAllocate workloads within team to ensure smooth operations during peak activity or staff absenceProactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulationsOversee and ensure compliance with Expeditors Operational Process StandardsTWMS training and usage for all team membersCoordinate all work activities relating to processing freight flow (in- & outbound),Receive goods and check freight for correct quantity, quality and possible damages,Picking, checking and loading pallets for outgoing freight,Good knowledge of handling various internal means of transport,Loading and unloading of trucks by use of a forklift and/or electric pump trucks,Create OSD reports and ensure correct completion,Checking cargo manifests and assign to the Warehouse Agent Senior or Lead,Perform double checks on the freight, ,Perform Dangerous Goods and/or Lithium checks (if in possession of IATA DG Certificate),Adhere to security and compliance rules as set up by Expeditors,Ensure a safe work environment,Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Company’s procedure,Maintain a clean work environment, all transport systems, storage areas, workplaces,Meet compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulations,Escalation of problems to Management when necessary.
