Position Summary:
Directs the daily warehouse and shipping operations performed during a shift. Ensures volume, quality and cost goals are met. Provides hiring, promotion and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports. Coordinates and directs the activities of the department to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality. Inspects product to verify warehouse and shipping specifications are met. Provides direct supervision and training of warehouse team members. Investigates, trouble-shoots and provides solutions to problems. Aids in planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance and downtime to minimize disruptions to schedules.
Major Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage warehouse operations from loading receiving picking to shipping ensuring compliance with company standards.Improve and optimize workflow efficiency, minimize process-related waste, and enhance operational accuracy.Monitor and reduce errors in inventory management and order fulfillment.Allocate manpower effectively according to workload to maximize operational efficiency.Provide guidance and coaching to warehouse staff to enhance their skills and work performance.Ensure employees comply with workplace safety standards and company regulations.Prepare and analyze weekly reports on warehouse status, operational performance, and identified issues along with proposed solutions.Utilize Oracle and other relevant warehouse systems (barcode) to support warehouse operations.Coordinate with the quality, customer service, and purchasing team to ensure smooth operations.Required Education / Experience / Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (Logistics, Business Administration, or related disciplines).3-5 years of experience in warehouse management.Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.Experience in using Oracle or SAP or related warehouse management software.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Highly responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.Travel
