Job Description

Position Summary:

Reporting to our Production Control Manager you will manage the operation of the warehouse. Oversee that materials are received, stored, shipped, and reported following established procedures. Manage warehouse staff. Review effectiveness of operating procedures, maintenance, space use, and protection of equipment. Make recommendations for improvements. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Main responsibilities:

Accomplish Logistics goals by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining department's human resources; communicate job expectations; monitor, appraise job contributions; recommend compensation actions; observe procedures.

Meet logistics operational standards by contributing logistics information to strategic plans and reviews; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; identify warehouse system improvements.

Meet logistics financiais standards by providing annual productivity goals; monitor expenditures; identify variances; implement corrective actions.

Meet In/Out bound operational standards by contributing logistic information to strategic plans and reviews; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; identify logistic system improvements.

Meet DR's finance standards by providing annual productivity goals; monitor expenditures; identify variances; implement corrective actions.

Provide cost-efficient, and traceable movement of company products both in-bound and out-bound.

Develop, implements, and maintains policies and systems relating to monitoring procedures and efficiencies in the department.

Coordinate the activities of those who contact vendors, customers, and carriers to address any problems such as misdirected and damaged goods.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration or related career.

2 years in Logistics operations and management position.

Supervisory and Team Leader skills with the ability to develop others.

Dashboard or report preparation skills.

Multilevel oral and communication (Fluent in English and Spanish)

Good IT skills, in particular spreadsheets (can perform complex functions) and databases and a knowledge of warehouse systems.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS) certified.

Master's degree or specialty related to the position.
