Job Description

As our Warehouse Shipper, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate shipment of our products to customers. This 6-month contract position involves the following key responsibilities:

Package and ship products accurately and efficiently to meet customer orders.Conduct thorough quality checks on all outgoing orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.Operate material handling equipment to load trucks and process shipments effectively.Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations to maintain a secure workplace.Report any shipping discrepancies or issues to the supervisor promptly.Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular stock management tasks.Collaborate with other departments to support overall warehouse operations as needed.Perform regular cleaning and organization duties to maintain a tidy work environment.Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management to support business needs.

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position must possess the following qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma (OSSGD) or equivalent is required.Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in shipping and receiving operations is essential.Certifications: Crane and Forklift certification is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage.Physical Requirements: The ability to lift and handle 50 pounds on a regular basis is a critical component of this role.Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (specifically SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite is a strong asset.Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication abilities and a proven track record of effective teamwork and collaboration are crucial.Work Ethic: The successful candidate must demonstrate self-motivation, punctuality, versatility, and maintain a consistently positive attitude.Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a meticulous approach to work are imperative.Independence: The capacity to work efficiently with minimal supervision is a key requirement for this position.
