What You'll Do as Production Manager Supervisor
1. Coordinate the daily activities of the production and operation teams.
2. Draw up a master schedule to establish the sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to customer orders.
3. Identifies inventory components: raw material and finished goods.
4. Place production orders from customers into the production schedule by priority
5. Recommends data changes to MRP parameters that are consistent with the goals of customer service, inventory levels, and plant efficiencies.
6. Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times
7. Confers with department supervisors to determine the status of assigned projects.
8. Delegates production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel
9. Expedites operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
10. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Work Experience
Preferred Candidate Might:
1. Strong leadership qualities
2. Knowledge of production tools and equipment
3. Solid working knowledge of the MRP/ERP environment is required.
4. Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel required.
5. Experience in Planning in a manufacturing environment – 2 years minimum
6. Detail-orientated, with exceptional organizational and communication skills
