This leader is accountable for translating performance insights into action, developing frontline leadership, and maintaining a high-functioning operation through real-time decision-making and resource alignment. Using the Rehrig Accountable Management System (RAMS), the Production Manager drives clarity, consistency, and accountability across shifts. Just as important as operational results are how we achieve them. This role requires a human-centered approach, ensuring that team members feel respected, supported, and connected to the work. The Production Manager sets the tone for a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters psychological safety, open communication, and personal growth. Key Responsibilities: Daily Execution & Operational Oversight + Lead day-to-day operations across multiple shifts, ensuring labor, equipment, and process alignment with volume demands. + Facilitate pre-shift and end-of-shift meetings with focus on performance metrics, communication flow, and corrective actions. + Maintain clear visibility to hourly production trends and proactively adjust to meeting daily goals and service level commitments. + Monitor and support Supervisors in floor leadership, shift coverage, and resource deployment. Performance Management & Problem Solving + Analyze trends in throughput, labor efficiency, and downtime to identify root causes and implement timely solutions. + Use RAMS tools and visual tier systems to track and communicate progress, highlight risks, and drive accountability. + Escalate issues with proposed actions or solutions, not just observations, while maintaining ownership of shift outcomes. + Ensure KPI boards, hourly trackers, and productivity metrics are accurate, current, and actioned daily. Human-Centered Leadership + Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where team members feel heard, valued, and empowered + Build strong relationships with Supervisors and hourly team members, encouraging continuous feedback and dialogue. + Model Rehrig-s leadership values by balancing high expectations with empathy and fairness. + Support professional development through coaching, recognition, and career pathing conversations. Leadership Development & Engagement + Coach and develop Supervisors, ensuring alignment with performance standards and leadership expectations. + Conduct regular check-ins, provide feedback, and support capability development across frontline teams. + Reinforce a culture of ownership, urgency, and accountability within each shift team. + Support onboarding and cross-training efforts to build a flexible and resilient workforce. Safety, Quality & Process Compliance + Champion a proactive safety culture, ensuring all team members follow protocols and report hazards immediately. + Maintain 5S, housekeeping, and audit readiness standards across assigned work zones. + Collaborate with maintenance and support functions to drive equipment uptime and process consistency. + Ensure compliance with SOPs and participate in site-wide continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications: + 3-5 years of leadership experience in warehouse, production, or logistics environments + Strong understanding of daily performance management, labor planning, and operational KPIs + Ability to interpret and act on trend data in fast-paced environments + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and visual tier management systems + Experience with RAMS, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies preferred + Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus What Success Looks Like: You lead with clarity, urgency, and care, turning insights into action and creating a culture where people and performance thrive.
