This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages the logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry-leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly.
The Operator II, Warehouse & Distribution Operations (Para-Professional & Support Path), is primarily responsible for handling tasks in warehouses and distribution centers, optimizing storage and material flows, and handling inventory and shipments. You will operate equipment, requiring technical skills and adherence to procedures. Specifics include:
Performing shipping and/or receiving duties, which may require the use of hand trucks, forklifts, and other devices, as well as computers to maintain data
Verifying quantity, weight, and conformance of materials against the shipment record
Preparing records of materials shipped and bills of lading, and routing materials to destinations
Gathering, verifying, and packing items for shipment according to specifications and the applicable transportation method
Recording received and shipped items
Laying out, fabricating, and assembling nonstandard shipping crates and boxes, and preparing parts and tooling for special shipment
Being required to routinely lift to 25-30 pounds, stand for long periods, and work at heights up to 25 feet
Handling sophisticated manual or operational tasks within warehouses and distribution centers to ensure smooth and efficient processes
Optimizing storage space and material flows while maintaining safety and efficiency
Coordinating and completing inbound and outbound logistics activities, including coordination with warehouses and other relevant parties
Improving technical skills and problem-solving abilities
Adhering to GxP regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training
Supporting business performance through accurate task completion, dedication to continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
Work Hours: Night Shift: Monday – Friday: 3:00 PM CST – 11:30 PM CST

Previous Warehouse Experience
SAP experience
Having a strong attention to detail and accuracy
