What this job involves - The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will manage and oversee all activities related to shipping/receiving, storing, delivering, transferring, reconciling, and cycle counting materials per cGMP procedures and regulations, within multiple systems and/or between multiple sites.

What is the day to day?

Supervise various critical warehouse operations by leading the warehouse operations team, leading operations ramp up strategy & execution, and lead tactical & long-term strategic initiatives to drive production readiness & ramp-up.Contribute to a positive, constructive & ambitious work environment.Develop employees by providing resources, career development, coaching & feedback.Drive a safe workplace culture, ensuring safety & environmental requirements are met.Ensures that materials are received, stored, and distributed according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and other applicable regulations and specifications.Supervise daily plan to exceed expectations for productivity, accuracy, and quality compliance.Ensures GMP activities follow approved GMP procedures and are documented according to cGMP and/or GDP requirements. Will also execute these GMP tasks as needed.Responsible for ensuring that risks are identified, assessed, and corrected to ensure the safety, purity, quality, and effectiveness of the product(s) manufactured.Ensures that staff complete all required training prior to performing assigned GMP activities.Ensures that non-conformances for areas of responsibility are reported promptly to the Quality unit and investigated per procedures.Ensures all areas and staff are prepared for regulatory audits and inspections.Supports Continuous Improvement initiatives, programs, and projects.Uses Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Power Point, Project to update metrics and present information.

Required Qualifications

Associate’s degree and 2 years of Warehouse Supervision and/or Material Handling experience OR 4 years in a technical school setting with hands-on experience OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of Warehouse Supervision and/or Material Handling experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a warehouse environment (pharmaceuticals or biotechnology)Basic knowledge of warehouse inventory management, SAP and Microsoft OfficeUnderstand and carry out to Department of Transportation (DOT) and international shipping requirements (IATA)Understanding of Good Distribution PracticesKnowledgeable of Cold Chain distribution requirementAbility to operate a forklift or other powered industrial vehiclePossess and exhibit excellent attention to detail

Work Environment

Working inside of warehouse/distribution centerAbility to comfortably lift 30lbsAble to work standing, walking, or, moving around offices, work sites; crawling, crouching, or other non-sitting working positions
