Warehouse Operations Manager
RINCON, GA
1st shift - 5am-1:30pm, Monday-FridaySerena & Lily seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager at our distribution center in Rincon, GA. This role is responsible for day to day management of a Serena & Lily’s multi-shift distribution center, and plays a vital part in ensuring our warehouse operates at peak efficiency- with customer satisfaction the primary goal. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Train new warehouse employees as they join your team and coach to performance, as well as support and ensure compliance for policies and procedures following the Distribution Handbook.Contributes to creating and recommending strategic plans to achieve operational objectives.Prepare daily production goals based around SLA standards. Resolves problems and identifies trends.Processing shipment documentation and inspecting completed orders.Acting as a liaison between 3rd party LTL vendors, Customer Service and shipping customers.Collaborating with cross functional partners to optimize the flow of orders from preparation to shipment.Forecasts requirements, prepares data for inclusion into annual budgets, schedules expenditures, analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions in order to meet financial objectives of the warehouse.Develops processes for receiving products, utilizing equipment, managing inventory and shipping products. Develops and implements effective warehouse layout that accounts for product flow, equipment, and product handling systems.Establishes, follows, and enforces safety standards and procedures in compliance with a healthy work environment and legal requirements.Participates in ongoing training to update job knowledge.Manage shipping activity to ensure on time dispatch/delivery, reduce out of stocks and warehouse damage.Manage order processing, to ensure product availability for timely customer shipments and ensure compliance with the organization’s lead time goals.Oversee the receiving put away process, ensuring all Serena & Lily products are checked in against purchase orders and inspected for missing or damaged items.Support and develop solutions for inventory capacity problems.Adhere to and ensure compliance with all company procedures/policies. This includes remaining in compliance with Federal and State regulations applicable to a warehouse environment.Develop daily labor and cross training to ensure teams are fully trained to cover volume peaks.Flexibility with changes in shift, workdays and duties. Cross trained to cover warehouse function in returns and inventory control.Adheres to all Safety work policies and ensures associates attend Safety Meetings.
REQUIREMENTS:
Management of a shipping and receiving operation with greater than 50 employeesBachelor’s Degree or 10+ years increasingly complex experience as Warehouse ShippingSupervisor or Manager or equivalent combinationMinimum of 5 years managing a cross-dock operation.Working knowledge and use of a Warehouse Management SystemCertification in Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certification program is preferred.Ability to follow complex written and/or verbal instructions.Ability to effectively communicate written or verbal instructions to associates.Proficient in the MS Office Suite business applicationsExcellent written and spoken English skills. Bi-lingual is a plus.Exempt associates are expected to work as much as necessary to satisfactorily perform their job duties or as business circumstances require. This may include working before and after the Company’s regular business hours and/or weekends & holidays.Forklift experience desired, ability to become certified on material handling equipment a must.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 80 poundsMust be able to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, kneeling, and operating at heights of up to 35 feet, for long periods of time during an 8-10 hour shift.Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environmentTop of Form
COMPENSATION:
$65-80k per year is the anticipated starting base pay for this role. This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this role. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, education, and skills. Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance should they choose to participate in Serena & Lily’s benefits. Employees can enroll in our company’s 401k plan.
