Your day at NTT DATA
The Manager, Warehousing is a management role, responsible for managing a team of warehouse employees and / or administrators.

This role manages the receiving, handling, storage, picking and packing activities of the warehouse, ensuring that overall quality standards are met and / or exceeded.

This role ensures the proper handling and storage of materials and products in the warehouse, as well as the proper operation of warehouse machinery.

The Manager, Warehousing contributes towards fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on achieving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities:Manages the warehouse in compliance with company policies and strategies.Manages the receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations and establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures.Manages the setup and layout of the warehouse to ensure efficient space utilization.Reviews receipt of all materials to ensure purchase orders are open and the quality of materials received is correct.Manages the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control.Ensures materials are available to meet production schedules and/or products are shipped as per marketing schedules.Manages efficient warehouse systems and processes to optimize workflow and ensure accurate record-keeping.Ensures that all employees adhere to the prescribed safety and operational procedures and rules.Manages stock movement, accurately documenting and timeously processed.Attends to escalated queries from clients for resolution within the required turnaround times.Ensures relevant databases are updated and management reports provided.Ensures the maintenance and awareness of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation and adhere to company policies in this regard.Ensures the accurate processing of stock receipts, taking records and documenting the details of all orders.
To thrive in this role, you need to have:Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.Good time management skills.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Strong administration and planning skills with attention to detail.Display client commitment and client service orientation.Good supply chain knowledge, particularly in the IT industry.Ability to manage inventory and analyze data and provide insights from data.Ability to develop and implement efficient warehouse systems and processes.Experienced with Excel, Word, ERP and data entry programs.Knowledge of various warehouse machinery and equipment.Ability to effectively manage a Warehouse team(s).Ability to make decisions and handle unforeseen issues.
Academic qualifications and certifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Logistics and Supply Chain / Warehousing or a related field preferred.Relevant certifications related to Warehousing essential.
Required experience:Seasoned experience managing and leading a team of warehousing individuals or related teams.Advanced experience in warehouse management.Advanced experience working on an ERP system, Excel, Work and data entry programs.Advanced experience in a similar role preferably within a similar global organization.
