We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Warehouse Manager to oversee operations at our automotive parts distribution center. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading the team in achieving operational excellence, with a strong focus on order fill rate, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and process efficiency. This role requires a proactive leader who can foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and safety.Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping.Optimize workflows and warehouse layout to ensure efficient movement and storage of inventory.Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and process controls.Team & Leadership
Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing warehouse team.Set clear expectations, provide coaching and regular feedback, and promote a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.Lead by example with professionalism, integrity, and a strong sense of urgency.Performance Optimization
Monitor and improve order fill rate and on-time delivery performance, ensuring KPIs meet or exceed company targets.Identify root causes of delays or shortages and implement corrective actions.Collaborate with supply chain, sales, and quality teams to ensure smooth coordination of order fulfillment.Logistics & Inventory Control
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with internal teams and external carriers.Maintain optimal stock levels and efficient inventory rotation to reduce excess or obsolete inventory.Resolve shipping or inventory discrepancies quickly and effectively.Process Improvement
Analyze warehouse performance data and develop strategies to improve throughput, reduce costs, and eliminate bottlenecks.Drive implementation of warehouse management systems (WMS) and continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, 5S).Champion the integration and daily operation of advanced automation tools, including:Packaging automation (e.g., robotic case erectors, sealers, and labelers)ASRS systems for high-density storage and rapid order retrievalHealth, Safety & Compliance
Enforce OSHA and company safety policies, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.Conduct regular safety inspections and lead safety training and meetings.Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all regulatory requirements.All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency in WMS/ERP systems (e.g., Syspro, Infor) and Microsoft Office.Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze KPIs and drive measurable results.Ability to operate warehouse equipment and manage physical workload.Strong problem-solving skills.Willingness to learn & adapt.Physical ability to stand for long periods of time.Physical ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with 2-person team requirements.Training and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.5+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably in automotive or high-volume parts distribution.Proven track record of improving fill rate, delivery performance, and inventory accuracy.Experience leading and motivating teams in a fast-paced warehouse setting.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
