Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Warehouse Manager oversees the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a range of goods. Responsible for a vital part of the supply chain process, the job holder manages people, processes and systems in order to ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately, and that productivity targets are met. The incumbent will also be responsible for workplace health and safety standards and for the security of the building and stock.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE :

Ensure Inventory management practices are in place; anticipate and manage through adversity, effectively incorporate improvement programs into the culture of the Plant.

Coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods

Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met

Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these

Coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary

Coordinating with production, supplier and supply chain for efficiency on routine work

Respond to and deal with customer communication by email and telephone

Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate.

Plan future capacity requirements and include the development and improvement of warehouse

Responsible for Warehouse : RM (Raw Material), WIP (Work in process), FG (Finish Goods) and ensure excellence level of Warehouse management  

Monitor and maintain control transactions, stock receiving and finished goods stock Design and implement operations improvement strategies for safety, cost, quality, training, inventory, and services 

Plan and instruct store leads of different shifts on day by day requirements and activities and handle all the scrap, damage, claim, packaging and storage area

To maintain a high level of good housekeeping, safety and environment awareness in all responsible areas.

Apply and control the ERP system and the system which is used in the Warehouse and coordinate with productions on the shopfloor.

Organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress.

Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded

Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely

Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment including claim parts and machine

Where appropriate, oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse management systems and automated storage and retrieval systems.

Qualifications

WHAT WILL BE LOOKING IN YOU FOR :

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, Logistics or related field required.

5+ years warehouse management or related experience. Supervisory or Lead experience

Proficient understanding of the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of Supply Chain, Material Management, Warehouse Management, Logistics and all related focus areas.

Good analytical skills.

Good oral, written communication and presentation skills.

Effective supervisory skills and good time management skills.

Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Oracle, Google sheet, Microsoft Office and Warehouse management function specific software.
