Responsibilities:Working closely with Management to implement the Warehouse and Inventory Control Strategic Plan and any other planning objectives. Collaborate with Company’s Purchasing Manager to ensure inventory levels are properly maintained and accounted for, working to insure any quality issues concerning the company’s inventory and generally assisting whatever help needed regarding the Company’s inventory (including pulling samples, doing stock counts, etc.). Helping problem solve with any inventory count confusion. Responsible for regular cycle counting and reconciling year end inventory in company computer systemWorking closely with, and managing, the company’s warehouse staff. Responsible for their hiring, orientation, training, supervision, and review. Coaching, counseling, and disciplining warehouse staff, as appropriate. Monitoring overtime, work output and absences of warehouse employees. Physically working on the warehouse floor including ensuring all warehouse equipment and vehicles are properly maintained in safe, clean and proper working order. Ensuring all forklift operators are properly trained and certified to OSHA standards. Ensuring any employees driving company trucks are properly trained, licensed and insured. Upholding health, safety and security in the Company’s warehouses at all times including physically securing all of the Company’s warehouses during all hours 24/7/365. Comply with all applicable local, state and federal laws applicable to the Company’s operations including specialized managing and tracking of Company orders regulated by the FDA or other Government agencies. Achieving financial objectives set by Management, including annual budgeting, meeting expenditure targets, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions when appropriate. Implement cost reduction principles in all aspects of the warehouse operations. Strive for operational improvement and efficiency in the warehouse operations, including headcount reduction. Communicate regularly with Company suppliers, distributors, employees and owners to ensure quality and delivery standards are upheld. Perform whatever additional work is required by the Company’s management including assisting the Vice President, Operations as needed. Working whatever hours are necessary to get the above job description completed in a timely and efficient manner.
