Job Description

Assist Supervisor and Manager with all aspects of the Warehouse operation while ensuring the proper and timely movement of freight and providing an exceptional customer service.

Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all work activities relating to the in and out going freight flow of the teams within the departmentResponsible for stock control for the teams within the departmentReceive drivers, register where necessary and lead the loading/unloading processResponsible for the correct and timely OSD reports in the Expeditors’ systemManaging and coaching the warehouse agents and warehouse agent seniorResponsible for the safe handling of the various internal modes of transport for the warehouse staffLeading the daily team huddles (briefing and debriefing) within your warehouse teamsMonthly 1 on 1s with the warehouse leads and Warehouse Agent & Agents SeniorAssist the Warehouse Supervisor, Manager with setting up development plans for the warehouse agents and warehouse agent seniors and assist with the development plans for warehouse agent seniorMid and end of year reviews with the Warehouse Agents & Warehouse Agent SeniorAttend and participate in warehouse leads meetingsAttend and participate in internal meetings (gateways, customer service departments)Maintain contact with internal departments via telephone and emailTrain the warehouse team; daily tasks and if necessary implement new global processesResponsible for the training of new hires based on the expeditors training schemeAdhere to security and compliance rules which have been set up by ExpeditorsProvide daily Warehouse Inventory checksGenerate all related paperwork and necessary information required for customer work orders, checks all orders for special requests and posts inventory recordsPerform accurate and timely data entry for receiving freight allocation, shipping and inventory managementMaintain damage records and backorder logsProvide warehouse staff with necessary documents and information needed to complete receiving, and to ship ordersMaintain strong relationships with vendors (trucking companies, and others)Compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer policies / requirements


Support the Supervisor in the following areas:

Allocate workloads within team to ensure smooth operations during peak activity or staff absenceProactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulationsBe continuously open and positive to implementing new system changes and enhancements with the team

Qualifications2 years of industry specific knowledgeHazardous Materials Certification (preferred)Customer focusExpeditors’ applications and system knowledgeSoftware proficiency, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc.).Written and verbal communication skills; English proficiencyEffective interpersonal skills, including listening, providing feedback, and teamworkProblem solvingProcess improvementProactive, strong organizational skills; time managementSelf-reflecting and open to feedbackInitiative and ability to work in autonomyReinforcing company cultureProven leadership attitude and background; building team environment
