“A Day in the Life”

In this position you will organize, direct and supervise the work of warehouse employees. Load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks and within the storage facility. Receive, unpack, check, and store merchandise or materials. Fill requisitions and orders. Pack, crate, and ship products and materials to distribution center, departments, or assembly line. Will operate forklift.

Assist with developing and implementing a locator system to increase inventory traceability and picking efficiency
Collaborate with stakeholders to build and maintain a dynamic inventory system during the process startup phaseLead the creation of inventory spreadsheets using Excel, complete with SKU numbers, item descriptions, and locator assignmentsManage daily inventory activities including receiving, storing, counting, and issuing materialsSupport training on Zebra scanners and label printing devices when inventory goes liveEnsure production area organization and cleanlinessOperate forklifts to stack and retrieve supplies and materials as neededWorks closely with the purchasing agent to track and organize equipment and materialHas knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Proven experience in warehouse inventory management
