Responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, such as receiving, stocking, loading and unloading merchandise, picking and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. Do not report employees who perform one of these duties as their primary function. Typical titles include: Materials Handler, Distribution Center Generalist.

Role and ResponsibilitiesMaintain total functionality of the group. Ensure that all orders are processed and shipped for 100% on time delivery. Ensure that all receipts are verified and entered to minimize inventory and accounting errorsDelegate the responsibility of each customer to the shipping individualsDouble-check a percentage of the paperwork for accuracyRun reports as needed to verify that we catch even the drop-insHelp pull parts for shipment as needed, load and unload as neededEnsure warehouse, shipping, receiving, and outside storage areas a kept clean and free of debrisIncoming and Outgoing product is processed and dispositioned to the proper location in a timely manner.Notify upper management in advance of any issues that would result in a late shipmentMake sure all parts and materials are staged according to the plant layoutPerform inventory control functions within the warehouseSafely use forklifts and other equipment needed for job task.Observe all safety requirements and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.Leadership responsibilitiesOversees activities of warehouse associatesDemonstrates and cultivates teamwork within the warehouse departmentQualifications and Education RequirementsHigh School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) requiredExperience in warehouse preferredExperience using a forklift preferredMust obtain and maintain a valid forklift license to hold positionAll required WilbertU Courses based on job titlePreferred SkillsAbove average math skillsAverage proficiency in office systems software – word processing, spreadsheets, databaseAttention to detail and organizationGood verbal and written communication skillsAble to work well with others with minimal supervisionAbility to successful maneuver and operate a forklift truck
