Warehouse Facility Trainer

As a key member of the Operations Team, this critical role is highly visible, and you will be expected to analyze and interpret complex data, calibrate precise measurements, problem solve and communicate with the public. **Shift:** Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5: 00 p.m. or 11:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
**Transportation:** This location is conveniently located near major bus routes, making it easily accessible by public transportation. Please check routes and schedules to ensure shift compatibility.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Coordinates on-the-job training.
+ This includes forklift training
+ Creating the license, administering the test and passport updates
+ Responsible for safety inspections and saving documentation per OSHA and Wesco requirements
+ Ideal to be part of the Safety Committee
+ Serves as an administrator for training under the Axonify platform. Will review key metrics and objectives and ensure employees are completing all tasks.
+ Understands and drives the importance that Quality and Accuracy are looked at on day one
+ Error tracking: receives investigations regarding internal and customer-reported errors, and records data into:
+ daily error tracker
+ associate error tracking
+ creation of the error form
+ provides information to supervisor for employee counseling form (if necessary)
+ Utilizes the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures
+ Ensures all employees are certified and recertified (e.g., SOPs)
+ Assists with audit compliance, as well as GEMBA walks
+ May involve travel to train at other locations
+ Would apply in supporting smaller locations who do not have a Facility Trainer on-site
+ Weekly/monthly recap of employee progress – reporting back to leadership. Will include:
+ Quality & productivity challenges
+ Working with associates that are not meeting production and/or quality standards.
+ Review training successes and opportunities from the previous month’s training sessions
+ Advising leadership of all needed recertifications (e.g., three or more errors in the same process within 30 days)
+ Creates a Facility Training Agenda for each new hire
+ This goes along with the 5-Day Training Plan
+ (e.g., by day one, identify products, verifying counts)
+ Administer and monitors operations-specific Passport training events (including the new hire training path) all the way through their completion by due date. May involve:
+ Maintains all training files. Either the trainer or operations admin is the keeper.
+ Promote opportunities with and provide information about Wesco’s Business Resource Groups (BRGs)
+ Developing a schedule to ensure completion depth when the employee’s annual training auto-populates
+ Assigning any on-the-job training related to SOPs, safety, etc.
+ Meets all new hires and goes over the Training Guide Folder and Training Schedule during New Hire Orientation (see addendum for content of training folder).
+ Recommended to complete ‘Leading -Self’ curriculum in Passport
**Qualifications:**
• Is in good standing with the company (no disciplinary actions/write-ups, good attendance)
• Cross-trained and versatile in multiple departments for easy communication and collaboration
• Ability to drive a proactive safety culture; exhibits model safety behaviors
• In-depth process knowledge, as well as knowledge of the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and/or Wesco Instruction Manual (WIM)
• Dynamic and outgoing personality. Communication is key
• Well-versed in the language of WMX; ability to track an order from when it comes into receiving to when it is shipped
• Basic understanding or knowledge of Mainframe (e.g., what it is, and how it relates to our WMX software) preferred
• At least three (3) years of warehouse experience preferred
**Physical Demands:**
+ Position is based inside a warehouse
+ Environment can be up to 100 degrees in the summer. Warehouse is climate controlled and comfortable in the winter
+ Ability to lift throughout a shift, potentially up to 50lbs
+ Ability to lift, bend, reach, push, pull, squat and walk throughout a shift
+ Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, generally an entire shift (8+ hours per day)\
+ Ability to climb ladders
+ Uses heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, etc.)
