Position:Warehouse Associate Manager
Job Description:

Arrow Electronics is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual that works well in a fast-paced electronics distribution center in Reno, NV as a Warehouse Logistics Services Associate Manager I (Exempt level Supervisor).

You will support the Logistics Team in directing the overall activities of the distribution center and interface with the supervisors of other departments to ensure an efficient operation, with maximum utilization of available human and material resources.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Responsible for the day-to-day functions of Logistics or Value Add department(s), ensuring goals are met or exceededSupervise day-to-day operation of a receiving, picking, or shipping department, within the distribution/value add center consisting of non-exempt tactical personnelWith specific direction from management and HR, participates in staffing, terminations, disciplinary counseling, performance management and development in conjunction with facility leadership. Typically, they will need to elevate complex issuesReport and track department metrics, responding to internal customer inquiries. May need to elevate or work in conjunction with facility leadership to resolve complex issuesSets priorities for the team to ensure task completion Strategic planning and process improvement through CPI or Lean principlesReceives guidance and oversight from managerTypically, does not spend more than 20% of the time performing the work supervisedAccountable for the results of small-sized routine support or production operations teamsSolves problems based on set policies and proceduresEnsures performance of department goals, including allocation of headcount and process improvements to analyze and improve efficiency. Participate in making basic improvement enhancementsResponsible for performance efficiency, time worked, quality reporting and improvement, performance metrics. Works with manager to determine courses of action for budgetary responsibility

What We Are Looking For:

3-5 years related experience preferred   4-year Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field preferredMust demonstrate the ability to manage people and processesMust possess well developed leadership and organizational skillsMust be project oriented and have the ability to follow through on long term goalsHave a desire to be in customer-oriented environmentAbility to handle multi-taskingAbility to excel in fast paced environment and a high degree of dependability and integrityMS Office proficiencyWorking knowledge of material handling equipment preferredWMS experience including Oracle based systems is a plusKnowledge of Six Sigma/Lean and 5S conceptsAbility to easily interpret and use statistics in day-to-day decision-makingBasic statistical modelingProject management concepts/principles knowledge a plusRoot Cause Analysis, Pareto and flow chartsUnderstanding evaluating processes to optimize product handling, product flow and layouts

Fully In Office: Monday-Friday

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:$67,000.00 - $90,000.01

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
