Warehouse Associate I

What does a great Warehouse Associate I do?

This position is responsible for ensuring: (1) The proper storage and staging of materials for Production; (2) Preparing and delivering mill rolls to Print; (3) Operating warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.); and (4) Loading/unloading trucks.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

•              Store and stage materials according to company processes and specifications.

•              Operate scanners to stage materials to job locations.

•              Ensure proper material labeling procedures are being followed.

•              Ensure all transactions are processed in AS400 and other requirements on time and accurate.

•              Ability to use equipment (forklift, stacker and electric hand jack) properly.

•              Communicate current plan of action with other shift stagers.

•              Must always be mindful of surroundings and in particular when working on shipping docks.

•              Perform other duties as assigned.

•              Participates in Continuous Improvement Projects and processes

Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

•              High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience

•              Proven ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language

•              Use of basic math skills

•              Must be able to work independently

•              Must show proficiency in the operation of all necessary equipment

Physical Demands

•              Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift to 50 lbs without assistance, including overhead lift

•              Must be able to reach above shoulders, climb, squat, kneel, and bend often

•              Must be able to push mill rolls, up to 1,000 pounds

•              Must be able to stand and walk an entire shift (8 hours) or approximately 15,000 steps in one shift
