**Job Title: Warehouse Associate**
Job Description
As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for preparing products by skid, crate, or box for shipping and processing routine shipping paperwork. Your role will also include maintaining a clean and safe working environment through the proper and timely disposition and storage of materials. Additionally, you will support assembly operations by repackaging, kitting, and staging materials.
Responsibilities
+ Safely remove and dispose of wood, plastic, metal, and other packaging materials according to standard procedures.
+ Utilize SAP to update storage bin information and identify and locate materials.
+ Complete routine inspections of material handling equipment.
+ Operate a turret truck forklift to pick orders, ensuring comfort with heights.
+ Use a sit-down forklift to move picked orders from racks to shipping.
+ Manage scrap bins and transfer materials into dumpsters.
+ Unload and load trucks using a forklift daily, managing 3-4 incoming and 2 outgoing trucks on average per day.
+ Visually inspect parts and move them to receiving parts staging.
+ Operate forklift trucks and/or cranes to move materials in and out of assembly areas.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with material handling, shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution.
+ Proficiency in packaging, inventory control, and order picking.
+ Experience with forklift operation, including turret trucks and sit-down forklifts.
+ Familiarity with warehouse systems and tools like RF scanners, UPS Worldship, and bill of lading.
+ Comfort with heights and working in a versatile warehouse role.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous shipping/receiving experience.
+ Experience operating a turret truck forklift.
+ Familiarity with inventory management and related paperwork.

The facility is well-lit, climate-controlled, and organized with spacious layouts. It comprises several departments, including New Production, Wind Service, Industrial, and Logistics. Safety is a top priority, with mandatory safety glasses and steel toe shoes. Employees are provided with company shirts, and it's recommended to wear durable jeans or pants. The emphasis on 5s ensures a lean and efficient operation.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.90/hr.
