You and Your JobAs a VP – Sanctions Team Lead you will be successful providing accurate, timely guidance and rationale for all escalations including holistic analyses on trades/shipments. Verifying potential name matches utilizing customer information on internal systems, and against third party open source or vendor systems used by Rabo Diversified Services. Assisting with various ad hoc projects as they arise and with updating the OFAC Sanctions procedures as needed. Providing training and guidance to the other analysts on the team as well as teams within Operations, and functioning as the backup for the North America Head of Sanctions. Assisting with regulatory exam responses and presentations.
Job ResponsibilitiesAble to manage workload for the team to ensure deadlines are met.
Drafts clear client analyses and transaction and trade dispositions, and makes clear recommendations, if necessary.
Interacts with and influences a variety of stakeholders, including Operations teams and the Business.
Meet with, respond to, and remediate issues identified by Internal Audit, Compliance Testing Group, and Quality Control Team.
Comply with all US laws, rules and regulations, including without limitation, AML and OFAC Sanctions requirements and the escalation/reporting of suspicious activity (and all related policies, standards procedures and guidelines), as well as all Rabobank policies and standards.
Your Promise to Us:To be considered for the Sanctions Team Lead role, you must have:
Bachelor’s Degree
10+ years of prior Sanctions experience at a financial institution, law firm, regulatory agency, professional services firm, or other similar work environment.
CAMS certification or ACSS certification, preferred.
Analytical/Investigative skills to determine when an issue should be escalated.
Solid understanding of sanctions and AML risk identification and mitigation.
Leadership and strategic influence.
Supervisory skills for managing a department of widely varied skill sets.
Ability to interact with all levels of management.
Strong people skills, ability to empathize and also keep team workflow on track.
Ability to travel regionally, up to 10%

Salary Expectations:Target Hiring Range: $130,000 - $150,000
This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular position includes all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
