Implements service efficiency improvements which may include, but are not limited to, standardization of systems, quality control, safety, site selection, facility design, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring strategy, process, people, and vision for the future of service operations. Reports to the General Manager of Service Operations.
Essential Tasks:
Collaborate with Field Operations Leadership regarding new products and services in the field. Lead the development of programs for selling service labor.Communicate with direct reports on a regular basis to ensure procedures are followed, new procedures and methods are considered, and new approved methods or procedures are known and carried out on a timely basis.Identify best practices and implement them across all areas. Implement new opportunities for location revenue.Support Company standards, policies, goals and objectives and execute corporate initiatives as defined by Company Management.Identify top performers and work to develop a pool of future service leaders.Counsel employees in work-related activities, personal growth and career development.Prepare various reports as requested, including budgets and financial reports, P&L’s, safety reports, and service objectives.Develop and oversee strategies to ensure that the safety record of all service locations improves consistently every year.Lead the efforts to expand our customer base according to plan targets. Cultivate customer loyalty through successful relationships.Travel throughout regional territories conducting visits to service shops as needs are identified.Review financial results of all service shops on a monthly basis to ensure that performance is, at a minimum, meeting strategic objectives. If objectives are not met, formulate a plan and discuss methods of improvement.Ensure all service policies and procedures are followed.Implement programs to help attract, hire, and retain top service team members.Review compensation programs and identify the best options/areas for improvement.Evaluate and integrate new acquisitions.Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises staff in accordance with our policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Education and Professional Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalentMulti-unit drive-in service experience is requiredMinimum of 10 years of experience in heavy duty truck parts industry, including a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory positionUnderstanding of analytical, statistical and financial processes and proceduresStrong professionalism, credibility and inter-personal skillsMust have knowledge of truck and trailer repair, labor rates, and technician productivityComputer Skills:
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.Knowledge of iSeries and Cognos reporting toolsTravel:
