Description We are looking for an accomplished VP of Finance to lead and elevate the financial operations of our organization. Responsibilities: • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives and operational priorities. • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of monthly and annual statements. • Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs and maintain strong relationships with banking partners. • Supervise the completion of month-end close processes and ensure accuracy in accounting activities. • Lead accounts receivable and accounts payable workflows, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliations. • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements at local, state, and federal levels. • Drive audit readiness and adherence to internal controls, collaborating with external auditors as needed. • Implement process improvements and leverage financial systems such as QuickBooks Enterprise to optimize workflows. • Oversee payroll processing for approximately 20 employees through external providers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff, fostering skill development and supporting organizational growth. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required; CPA certification is strongly preferred. • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role. • Proven expertise in construction industry accounting, particularly percentage-of-completion methodologies. • Proficiency with financial systems such as QuickBooks Enterprise or Foundation Software, and advanced Excel skills. • Familiarity with Paychex payroll systems and strong cash flow management capabilities. • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a strategic mindset and commitment to achieving results. • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. • Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, compliance standards, and risk management strategies.
