The Community Foundation of Frederick County is seeking a VP of Community Impact to lead their efforts in fostering positive change throughout the community. This leadership role oversees grant and scholarship programs, advances strategic initiatives, advocates for community needs, and builds collaborative relationships with nonprofits, donors, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Community Impact Department and staff Community Leadership, Grants, and Scholarship Committees. Oversee strategic grantmaking and scholarship programs using efficient, applicant-friendly systems. Build and maintain relationships with nonprofits, donors, and educational institutions. Use the Foundation’s voice to advocate on community issues and support strategic initiatives. Collaborate with other departments to increase awareness of the Foundation’s programs and community impact. Represent the Foundation at events and serve as a spokesperson on community needs and solutions.Well qualified candidates will have: Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in nonprofit leadership, grantmaking and community development. Strong communication, collaboration, and public speaking skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of best practices in philanthropy, grants management, and nonprofit operations.
